High School Resources:

Drawing 1: Course Overview

As a team, I and another classmate did extensive research on experimental drawing techniques and organized them into lesson plans categorized by drawing the body, experimental mark making, and chance. Included are also experimental drawing methods that take advantage of technology. All of the exercises and techniques restrict some aspect of the drawing process to force students to let go of their judgement around what they create. You can see the presentation here.

Community-based Design Course: High School

This graphic explains a high school course I designed that combines graphic design with community-based art education. The course invites design out of the classroom in an effort to have students learn about their own community as well as effect a positive change on it. Students would design projects that collaborate with local artists, activists, and their peers. The course has five distinct units detailed below.
