A Sculptural Archive: A Decade of Experi-making at the Lynden Sculpture Garden
The Innovative Educator's Institute (IEI) at the Lynden was a spring, summer, and fall cycle of curriculum development, artist practice, and professional development in a network of K-12 art teachers related to art, nature, and culture. As one of the Art-Teachers-In-Residence, along with Katie Hobday and Ali Berry, we created a project that summed up the entire 10 years of the program. We built a wooden sculpture with 1o posts, representing each year of the program. We invited three rounds of creative participation from teachers, visiting artists, and Lynden staff in the form of hanging mobiles, indigo dyed flags, and clay beads. This video summarizes each interaction with the sculpture and the visual and written data gathered indicating the success of the program over 10 years.
Interactive Gallery Installation - "Play Like an Artist"

1/2
The interactive installation for the 2020 UW-Madison Faculty Show at the Chazen Museum of Art celebrated collaboration, experimentation, and obser-vation as art-making methods. Visitors were invited to share their favorite artists, play a collaborative drawing game, and re-imagine titles for "Untitled" artworks from the collection. I designed the theme, activities, wall text, spatial concept, and visuals for this installation.

PLATO Senior Art Class Artist Sheets

1/5
I co-taught a free art class to seniors that spanned a diverse range of media and took inspiration from specific artworks in the Chazen Art Museum. For each class, I wrote and designed an "artist sheet" for the project that connected the museum collection to information and techniques for the media we used.
